KiwiQuote is operated by a New Zealand-based developer. We take your privacy seriously and comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

1. What we collect

Account info: your name, email address, and business name when you sign up.
Business data: quotes, invoices, line items, and customer details you enter into KiwiQuote.
Payment info: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
Usage data: basic analytics (via Google Analytics) to understand how the app is being used, such as page visits and feature usage. This is anonymised.

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

Run your account and deliver the service
Send you important account-related emails (like receipts or service updates)
Improve KiwiQuote over time

We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising. We don't share it with third parties except where necessary to run the service (e.g. Stripe for payments, Netlify for hosting).

3. Your customer data

Any customer names, emails, or addresses you enter into KiwiQuote are yours. We store them securely to power the service and don't use them for any other purpose.

4. Cookies

KiwiQuote uses Google Analytics which sets cookies to track anonymous usage patterns. You can opt out via your browser settings or a tool like uBlock Origin.

5. Data storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We take reasonable steps to protect it, but no online service can guarantee 100% security. If there's ever a breach that affects your data, we'll let you know promptly.

6. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it. Just email us at [email protected].

7. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you cancel, we'll retain it for 90 days in case you change your mind, then delete it.
